West Point and Storm King

June 8 we started off with a tour of West Point, on the West side of the Hudson and just about 20 minutes from the Newburgh KOA.  The tour was excellent, but unfortunately, there were four weddings in the Cadet Chapel, which made it impossible to enter.

Following a lunch at the outdoor café at Storm King, we headed to this outdoor sculpture garden, covering over 500 acres with larger-than-life sculptures.  Some sculptures were actually designed as part of the landscape.  Cicadas were everywhere and sounded like aliens landing all over the fields!
